RAY SPRINKLE – PRESIDENT/CEO

Ray was hired by URM in 2003 as the VP of Procurement, Retail Services and Profit Centers.  In March of 2013, he was promoted to President/CEO.  Ray graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business, Marketing and Animal Science Industry from Kansas State University.  His education, along with his vast experience has allowed him to aid in the expansion of URM and our member-owners.

Ray has a long career in the grocery business, working for companies such as Dillon’s (Kroger), Super Stores Industries, SAV-U-FOODS, and Fleming.

Ray’s goal for URM is not necessarily to be the biggest, but to be the best.  We will continue to drive for lower cost of goods, expand and support the infrastructure that allows us to be effective, and attract new member-owners.

 

STAN HILBERT - CFO/TREASURER

Stan Hilbert serves as CFO/Treasurer at URM.  He was with Telect, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of telecommunication equipment, for the past 17 years with 16 of those years as Chief Financial Officer.  Also for the last 10 years he has had additional responsibility as Chief Operations Officer. Stan started with Telect as the Director of Finance. His prior work history includes Hecla Mining Company and the public accounting firm of Price Waterhouse Coopers.

A University of Idaho alumnus with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in accounting, Stan is a strong proponent of education serving on the Advisory boards for the University of Idaho College of Business & Economics and Junior Achievement of Washington.  He is a CPA and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Stan is  an avid outdoorsman, he loves the quality of life and recreational opportunities available in the Inland Northwest.

 

PAUL CHRISTIANSON – V.P. OF PROCUREMENT & RETAIL SERVICES

Paul accepted the position of Vice President of Procurement and Retail Services in March of 2013.  He worked for Rosauers, a wholly owned subsidiary of URM, for 10 years before accepting a position as Bakery/Deli Merchandising Manager at URM in 1986.  In the past, he has also held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Retail Sales and Service.  Paul graduated with a degree in Organizational Leadership from Whitworth University.

He looks forward to helping URM expand into new markets and continuing to help member-owners grow and succeed.

 

RICK JENSEN – V.P. OF PROFIT CENTERS

Rick Jensen spent over 8 years working for United Grocers in western Washington before moving to Spokane and accepting a position at URM as the Cash & Carry Coordinator in 1996.  In June of 2001, Rick was promoted to Director of Cash & Carry and Foodservice divisions.  Then in March of 2013, he was promoted to Vice President of Profit Centers with responsibility of the Cash & Carry, Foodservice, and Convenience Store/Small Grocery divisions.  The Profit Centers serve the Member Owners of URM by providing operating capital thus enhancing Member returns.

In 1992, Rick was a graduate of the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and then in 1995 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University.

He looks forward to URM’s continued market expansion and helping the Company and Member Owners prosper.

 

RICH STUBER – V.P. OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Rich Stuber came to URM with over 25 years of information technology experience.  He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1995 and then began a long career path with Computer Task Group, MCI, Coldwater Creek and lastly Tommy Bahama.  He was hired as URM’s V.P. of Information Technology in 2014.  Rich received his AA degree from Chapman University in Colorado Springs, CO and continued his education in Information Systems Management at Colorado Technical University.

Overall, his vision is to transform IT into an efficient, high performing IT Organization that is focused on service excellence. Rich plans to implement an immersive strategic approach for IT - one where people, process, and technology work seamlessly together to drive operational efficiencies and customer value. His focus will be on improving IT service delivery both internally and for the range of company partners, ensuring a greater level of profitability and success.

 

KIRK ROLLINGS – V.P. OF OPERATIONS 

Kirk received his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Finance from California State University in 1985.  For 6 years while going to college, he worked as a warehouseperson with Fleming Foods in California. After graduating college and during his initial tenure with Fleming, he was promoted to Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Superintendent, Warehouse Manager, and Operations Manager with his final position being Distribution Manager, which required him to manage two warehouses in Northern California.  Kirk was hired as Vice President of URM Operations in 2003.

There has been one warehouse expansion since Kirk began his career at URM, which now provides member-owners with more product selection and eliminated outside storage.  He has made several operational changes which have also made pick, pack and ship more efficient and has cut expenses to the bottom line.  He hopes to continue that trend and still be able to supply our member-owners with the variety of products they need to be competitive while still providing on time delivery of those products.

 

MIKE WINGER, V.P. OF STORE DEVELOPMENT

Mike was hired at URM as a Store Development Coordinator in 1993.  He became the designated real estate broker for URM’s wholly-owned real estate subsidiary (Premier Brokerage Company) in 1999.  He was promoted to V.P. of Store Development in 2003.  He graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1990.  He earned his Masters of Business Administration from Gonzaga in 1991.

Mike’s goal is to help member-owners with strategic planning for business development, business succession planning and continuing to provide members with the support they need to grow their business.

 

LINDA WILSON, V.P. OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Linda began her career at URM as a General Merchandise route salesperson in 1980.  She also held positions of Receptionist, Human Resources Assistant, and Director of Human Resources and in 2007 was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources.  Prior to working at URM, she worked for the March of Dimes and Legg’s Products.  She obtained her Legal Secretary Certificate from Spokane Community College and later attended college putting her emphasis on early childhood development while interning for the Guild School.

Linda’s goal is to help URM to continue to be an employer of choice in the Spokane market and to focus on leadership development, succession planning and maintaining an environment of teamwork which will help URM meet our corporate objectives.
